When golf enthusiasts come to play at the many golf courses Knoxville TN, they have a wide choice in accommodations. While many choose local hotels, others prefer the privacy and independence of renting a local vacation home through a resort. You can find vacation homes for rent in all sizes, depending on the size of your family or golfing party. Some are one-bedroom homes and others have as many as seven bedrooms. These resort cabins are within easy distance of not just the many local golf courses in Knoxville TN, but also to all the other activities in the area.

The other reason that those who choose resort vacation homes over hotels do so is because these are updated and even luxurious cabins located in the foothills of the great Smoky Mountains, and there is nothing quite like the scenery in the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is a place of majestic scenery. If a person was not on a golfing vacation, you could still spend days in the park and have a full vacation. There are more than 900 miles of hiking trails. One of the trails leads to a large, well-known waterfall called Abrams Falls.

After a day of hiking and picnicking in the park, you can take another day to go tubing down the Little River or go exploring the local towns of Gatlinbug, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Townsend. Visitors enjoy dining, shopping at outlet malls, and taking in musical theater shows at night. When you’re not exploring these charming towns or out on the links, there are all kinds of fun outdoor activities in the area.

A local valley called Cades Cove is a place for exploring by car, on bicycle, by horseback, or on foot. A local stable provides horseback riding and hayrides. There is an eleven mile long road called Loop Road that takes you through the scenic valley. A local bike shop rents bicycles for those who want to explore the area on two wheels, and during Saturdays over the summer season, Loop Road is closed to cars every Saturday during the summer season so that bicyclists can ride.
